You will continue exploring the city's surroundings, starting with the impressive Sacsayhuamán fortress located on the outskirts of Cusco, famous for its enormous, perfectly fitted stone blocks. You will also visit the Kenko shrine, an Inca ceremonial center with labyrinths and channels carved into stone, believed to have been used for religious rituals and mummification; the Puka Pukará viewpoint, an ancient military post that served as a lookout point; and finally, Tambomachay, known as the “Baths of the Inca,” famous for its water channels and fountains, suggesting that it may have been a place of water worship.
